- How much does an inground pool safety cover cost?
- There's no shelf price — every cover is custom-made to your pool. The cost depends on the size and shape of the pool, whether you choose mesh or solid, and the anchoring. We measure your pool on site and give you a written quote.
- What's the difference between a mesh and a solid safety cover?
- A mesh cover is lighter, lets rain and snowmelt drain through, and blocks most debris and sunlight — it's the most popular choice in Oklahoma. A solid cover blocks everything including water and light, which keeps the pool cleaner, but it needs a cover pump or drain panel to handle standing water on top. Both anchor into the deck and both hold weight for safety.
- Does rain drain through a mesh safety cover?
- Yes — that's the point of mesh. Rain and snowmelt pass straight through into the pool, so water never pools on top of the cover. The trade-off is that your water level can rise over the winter, and fine debris and a little sunlight get through too. Because the level can rise, it's worth a few quick winter cover checks over the season to make sure the water doesn't get too high.
- Do you make replacement covers for an existing pool?
- Yes. If your old cover is torn, stretched, or the straps and springs are shot, we measure the pool fresh and build a new custom cover. We don't reuse the old measurements — we take our own so the new cover fits right.
- Can you cover a freeform or custom-shaped pool?
- Yes. Freeform, kidney, L-shaped, and pools with steps, benches, or raised spas are all covered. We measure every curve and feature so the cover is cut to your exact shape — that's why we measure on site instead of quoting from a chart.
- What's included in a $399 opening or closing?
- An opening or closing is a flat $399. A closing covers lowering the water to winter level, blowing out and plugging the lines, winterizing the equipment, and installing your safety cover. An opening reverses it — pulling the cover, reconnecting and starting the equipment, and getting the pool running for the season. Chemicals are billed at cost on top of the flat fee.
- Do you check my equipment when you come out?
- Yes — every opening, closing, and cover visit includes a free equipment inspection. We look over the pump, filter, heater, and plumbing and tell you straight what we see. We don't sell or install equipment, so there's no upsell — it's just an honest heads-up so nothing surprises you later.
- What's NOT included in an opening or closing?
- The flat fee covers the seasonal service itself. It does not include cleaning up a green or neglected pool, equipment repairs, or parts. If we open a pool and find it's green or the water's a mess, that cleanup is a separate conversation — and green-pool recovery isn't something we take on.
- Do you clean up green pools?
- No. We don't do green-pool recovery or algae cleanup. We focus on covers and seasonal openings and closings. If your pool is green, you'll want a maintenance company to get it clear first, and then we can handle your cover or closing.
- Do you do weekly pool maintenance or cleaning?
- No. We don't run weekly cleaning or chemical-maintenance routes. We're a cover-and-seasonal-service company — safety covers, openings, and closings. For week-to-week upkeep you'll want a dedicated maintenance company.
- What area do you serve?
- It depends on the service. We install custom safety covers across all of Central Oklahoma — from Stillwater to Lawton, Clinton to Seminole, including the whole OKC metro. Seasonal openings, closings, and winter checks stay closer to home: the Oklahoma City metro and about thirty miles around it. Check our service areas page for the full list.
- Do you travel outside the immediate metro?
- Often, yes — it depends on the distance. If you're past the usual radius, call (405) 384-9660 and we'll tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense and what it costs.
- When should I order a cover before closing season?
- Order early. A custom safety cover has to be measured and then manufactured, so there's a lead time between the quote and the cover being ready to install. Closing season in Central Oklahoma runs roughly September through November, before the first hard freeze, and it gets busy fast. If you want a new cover installed at your closing, reach out in late summer so the cover is built and ready when it's time to close.
